PARMA, Ohio – Frank Q. Jackson, grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, was arrested Sunday morning after a police chase.
Police said he was trying to stop Frank Q. Jackson because the hue of his vehicle was too dark.
During the stop, they asked Jackson to get out of the vehicle.
An officer tried to grab Jackson as he pulled away from his vehicle.
Officials said the officer was able to run with the car before being released. He was not physically dragged or seriously injured during the incident.
Officers chased Jackson’s vehicle, where he was driving at more than 100 mph.
Police said he lost the vehicle after exiting west on I-90 on Lorain Avenue.
Jackson turned himself in at the Parma police department around three in the morning
An arrest warrant was issued last week for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the face during a discussion in December 2020.
