John Cena will make an appearance on the Super SmackDown show that will take place this Friday at Madison Square Garden. Cena was supposed to team up with Rey and Dominik Mysterio to face The Bloodline, the trio of Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso.
According to PWInsider, the latest announcements to promote the Madison Square Garden show feature former RAW and SmackDown champions The Street Profits teamed up with the 16-time world champion. This is likely to be a dark match that will take place after the recording of SmackDown.
“Local advertising tonight during Monday Night Raw includes John Cena as a team with The Street Profits against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions of Uses in the main WWE recording event This Friday’s Super Smackdown at New York’s Madison Square Garden Dinner was initially announced as a team with Rey and Dominik Mysterio.The official MSG website has also been updated to reflect the appearance of The Street Profits at the party “.
John Cena’s last appearance in the company came at last month’s SummerSlam show, where he lost the Universal title match to Roman Reigns.
What else is reserved for fans other than John Cena on Super SmackDown
The report further states that SmackDown women’s champion Becky Lynch will face Bianca Belair, who is also likely to be a dark match. Belair and Lynch will sign a contract with SmackDown to confirm their match for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view that will take place later this month.
Brock Lesnar will also return to SmackDown this week, which Paul Heyman revealed on last week’s show. He will likely face Roman Reigns at the event. Fans will also be able to see a rematch of SummerSlam, as Edge and Seth Rollins are back one-on-one.
