Griddy banned the Texas scoreboard for non-payment

According to a report, Texas power company Griddy has been banned from participating in the state’s electricity market.

The Texas Electrical Reliability Council on Friday revoked Griddy’s rights to enter the state’s electricity market, due to a payment violation, Bloomberg reported.

Griddy had previously said it would challenge the prices set by ERCOT during the crisis.

The company has been on fire lately for rejecting energy bills of up to $ 17,000 per customer during last week’s deadly winter storm.

The company is at the center of a $ 1 billion class action lawsuit. The lawsuit accuses Griddy of slashing prices and failing to protect its customers from astronomical energy costs.
