We have the first look at Grand Theft Auto 5 running on the PlayStation 5 during the big Sony edition PlayStation Showcase last night, but the response has not been kind. The various Reddit pages of the series are full of memes alluding to the fact that the reissue looks the same, while the major YouTubers series bring Rockstar to work.
The trailer reveals improved graphics and gameplay and, to be fair to the developer, looks better than on PS4. The problem is that it is more comparable to the PC version running with better configurations with a higher resolution than a full rebuild. Personally, although we hadn’t planned a huge update, we were expecting more from this first trailer.
On YouTube, the trailer has 13,000 up votes and 20,000 negative votes, so it hasn’t gone down well at all. Really, Rockstar has only scratched the surface here; we know there will be faster modifications to the car GTA online, for example, so we’re sure there’s a lot more to talk about before the game’s late release date.
However, it’s not a big impression for many fans.
