GTA online players have discovered a shocking connection between the new Cayo Perico update and Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar Games is famous for teasing and connecting their games. For example, a Red Dead Redemption 2, there are a few Bully Easter eggs. Meanwhile, there is growing evidence GTA i Red Dead Redemption share the same universe. And a new discovery only reinforces these theories. Upon arriving on Twitter, a player shared the news GTA online updates Rubio’s links to German family players Red Dead Redemption 2.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, players, such as Arthur Morgan, can help and save a German immigrant, Andreas, and his family made up of his wife and two young children. In the grand scheme of RDR2, the family has little or no meaning other than the opportunity for Arthur Morgan to increase his good cowboy qualification.
That said, it seems that Juan Strickler, also known as El Rubio, the antagonist of the new Cayo Perico Heist, is descended from this family. In his mansion, there is a photograph of a family that looks exactly like the players of the German family helping RDR2. And, as you may know, during the robbery, El Rubio refers to his “Opa”, who is a grandfather in German.

Now, could it just be an Easter egg? Sure, but it’s also one more example of the two games that seem to be part of the same universe. Rockstar Games has not yet commented on these theories, let alone confirmed them, but findings like this make these theories, at the very least, hard to ignore.
For now, make this discovery, or more specifically, the speculation that has been created, with a grain of salt. While there is little or no room to deny the discovery, its implications are a little less concrete. It’s very unlikely that Rockstar Games will set the record with a comment or statement, but if it does, we’ll be sure to update the story with everything provided.
