Gunmen charged with murder in natural light in the Bronx

Two gunmen were charged with murder Sunday for allegedly killing a man in a savage shootout in the Bronx that caused police to open fire, authorities said.

Kejaun Dehaney, 22, of Pennsylvania, and Hassan Maxwell, a 32-year-old Bronx resident, are charged with spraying bullets Saturday at the intersection of Findlay Avenue and 166th East at Concourse Village at 18:30, leaving one man dead, according to police.

Three uniformed police officers in the area opened fire to stop the gun battle and injured one of the suspects, police said.

During the shootings, a stray bullet struck an innocent bystander in the arm, police said.

It was unclear which bullet hit the viewer. None of the police officers involved were injured, police said.

Police did not immediately release the victim’s identity from fatal shootings.
