A month and a half ago country music superstar Blake Shelton sent the question to Gwen Stefani, which she barely took into account.
Stefani, 51, and Shelton, 44, announced their engagement Oct. 27 at the Shelton Ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Stefani met another star of The Voice, Kelly Clarkson, on her talk show on Tuesday (via The Kelly Clarkson Show YouTube), where she revealed that she was really trying to get out of the trip.

When Clarkson asked her if she would explain to the audience how it happened, Stefani began, “Obviously, I had no idea. In fact, he was trying to get out of Oklahoma because it was getting too complicated with COVID and the family.
“I said,‘ I think we should cancel the trip. ’He was one of those. Then we got it together and we ended up going. [Our family] it was all there, ”he said.
Stefani added that Shelton’s sister and family were there, along with her children, brother and family, saying “everyone is always there.”

There we are building a house. We were going to go from one part of the land to the other part of the land to go see the house. And in the meantime, Blake had this ring ready to run for a couple of weeks and no one knew, ”he said.
He added that the only person who knew was Stefani’s father, because in early October he was at his birthday meeting and Shelton showed him the ring.
He added that when everyone got there, everyone wanted to come back for various reasons, before Blake made his move.

“My son was sitting next to that fireplace and Blake was basically on his knees to make fire and he said,‘ Hey, can you look in the closet and get a fire? “I look and see a ring in a box” Ahhh What? Are you serious? ‘
He added that everyone ran when he heard the scream, but unlike many current proposals, there was no video, just a photo his future sister-in-law took.
“It was a pretty magical moment,” Stefani added, while Clarkson thought it was “great” not to be on video.

The couple had been dating for five years before Blake asked the question in October, and sources told US Weekly that the wedding will take place at the Oklahoma Ranch.
