After Krispy Kreme announced it was offering a free donut to those receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, a New Jersey gym owner gave his own influence to the incentive push.
Ian Smith, owner of The Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey, took to Twitter to say he offers free gym memberships to those who don’t get the vaccine.
In the viral tweet, Smith wrote, “We believe in health – the real way – to exercise, a good diet, lots of vitamin D, zinc and an environment to de-stress.”
In the light of @krispykreme donating free donuts to receive the CVD shot, here at @TheAtilisGym we give free subscriptions to all who are not vaccinated. We believe in health (the real way) to exercise, a good diet, lots of vitamin D, zinc and an environment to de-stress.

Since posting the tweet on Tuesday, Smith said he has received many hate messages since Thursday morning.
I have a lot of hate messages today. Did I say anything wrong?
