Haiti is asking the Gavi Alliance for a vaccine other than AstraZeneca

Pradel also indicated that there are other vaccines that the country is able to receive, such as those manufactured by Johnson & Johnson or Moderna laboratories. However, it lacks the necessary cooling systems for the Pfizer vaccine.

“In short, the Haitian authorities have not rejected the idea of ​​a vaccine to protect our population against covid-19, they simply want to negotiate a vaccine very different from that of AstraZeneca,” the note concludes.
