In a new Q&A video, 343 Industries developer Quinn DelHoyo triggers a “never seen” weapon that will be featured in the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC games. Unfortunately, DelHoyo doesn’t say much more about this weapon, but he does suggest that it will fill the void left by the standard shotgun, which has been removed in favor of a new automatic shotgun, called a Bulldog.
Speaking of weapons, DelHoyo confirmed that both new and classic ones will be added to the game after launch, and of course pre-existing weapons will be refined and updated regularly. That said, we won’t have to wait until the game is out to see more new weapons. DelHoyo confirms that there are new weapons that 343 Industries has not yet revealed will be available at launch.
Unfortunately, it is not known if the classic shotgun will be any of these weapons. DelHoyo points out that there is room for the weapon in sandbox mode, but at this point it looks like it won’t get into multiplayer. If he does, he will play like he does in the classic games, or at least that will be the goal. DelHoyo points out that the team wants to ensure that all inherited weapons feel as before.
More than with Halo 5, you get the feeling that 343 Industries is not only more deliberate with everything they do Halo Infinite, but respecting a little more the legacy of the series, which is why Halo Infinite it exists in the first place.
There is no denying it Hello it was a much better and more popular product when Bungie was in the lead, so if you’re 343 Industries, it’s smart to take advantage of these inherited titles as much as you can.
Halo Infinite is in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC, and will be released worldwide sometime this holiday season. For more coverage on the sci-fi shooter and all the games, click here or check out the relevant links below:
