Before Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD RemasterLaunching on PlayStation 4 and Switch next month, publisher Sega has provided the Internet a very nice high resolution version from the documentary “Featuring Dante from the the devil can cry series sticker ”from the box of the original PlayStation 2 in North America. The graph has inexplicably used in memes since then, more recently along with other humorous nonsense on the Internet Great Chungus.
“The development team initially thought it was a crazy idea to cross out between two different publishers,” Nocturne explained director Kazuyuki Yamai on the PlayStation blog. “However, they were also captivated by the idea that the two characters were between them and their subsequent battle. So they brought the proposal to Capcom, and the rest is history! ”
Like the most popular person derivations of the series, Nocturne it focuses on making friends and enslaving a group of supernatural entities known collectively as demons. These potential party members are liberally drawn from world mythology and religion; it is possible to Nocturne, for example, to create a team that includes not only the devil can cry the antihero Dante, but also the popular West Virginia cryptid Mothman and the Abrahamic archangel Gabriel.
While I would normally think of something like this, “Silence, Mark,” I’m also a fool for high-resolution recreations of works of art that can hardly be found otherwise. Sega is smart about adopting Dante’s meme from a marketing perspective (uh, sorry, just writing that phrase makes me feel bad to my stomach), but more importantly, it’s good to have this type of historical artifacts readily available for archiving.
And memes too, of course. I can’t forget them.
