Undressing his trusted driver, Happy Gilmore, the protagonist of the eponymous film of the 90s, played by actor Adam Sandler, took to Twitter with his brand and swing.
The reappearance of one of Sandler’s great characters is the 25th anniversary of the film’s release, and he took the opportunity to convince his enemy Shooter McGavin out of the shadows.
“I’ve been doing it for 25 years,” he announced. “I’m scared!”
No one should ever be shocked, Shooter McGavin, Gilmore’s rival in the film, played by Christopher McDonald, shot.
“It’s the short game,” he stated. “Drive to show, putt for dough!”
Award-winning actor Ben Stiller, who played the nefarious owner of a nursing home that takes very bad care of Gilmore’s grandmother, responded to Sandler’s video.
The film’s success became a benchmark of comedy in pop culture when it premiered in 1996, with the celebration of its legacy for both sports and film fans.
“The golf legend lasts forever,” he said.
