Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rating of “favorability” has fallen to a new record, according to YouGov pollsters.
According to the group, which surveyed 1,667 British adults ranging from teenagers to the elderly, Markle is 26% of the UK population and 65%, which equates to a net approval rate of -39%. .
Harry likes it 34 percent and doesn’t like it 59 percent, which leaves him with a net favor of -25 percent.
Harry’s pass rating dropped more hastily (25 points) since April, while Meghan’s only dropped nine points in the same time period.
The age of the respondents was a particularly revealing division: the demographic population between the ages of 18 and 24 is distributed almost evenly over Harry (47 percent positive and 44 percent negative) with a wider margin of approval for to Meghan (50 to 40 percent).
But retired people have a very different view of Harry and Meghan, with only 13-18 percent of people 65 and older seeing them positively.
However, Harry and Meghan may be comforted by one fact: Prince Andrew, a familiar black sheep, has by far the lowest approval rating of any royal pollster, with 83 percent of respondents who don’t like it and six percent of scratches who respond favorably.
Elsewhere in the royal ranking: Queen Elizabeth remains the most adored royal, with an 80% favor score, with Prince William and his wife Catherine Middleton behind them, with 78% and 75% behind. ‘approval, respectively.
As elsewhere in life, Prince Charles got a lukewarm response, with 54% approval.
YouGov noted the downfalls of Harry and Meghan in their March interview with Oprah Winfrey, “as well as the poor responses to their statements about the COVID-19 pandemic and the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
