Some posts on social media claim that people died after receiving a vaccine against COVID-19, some wonder if the vaccine has directly caused death.
Jim Janszen, WCPO viewer, wrote: “I was wondering if you could ask the doctor if anyone died from receiving the second dose of vaccine: Modern or Pfizer. I heard some people died because of it … but nothing in the news. “
No deaths have been reported from a COVID-19 vaccine, Dr. Steve Feagins, Hamilton County Public Health Medical Director. Similarly, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention they have not identified any case in which a COVID-19 vaccine killed someone.
Feagins said while residents of the residences died after firing a COVID-19, the shootings were not the cause of death.
“As we massively vaccinated nursing homes, there is a mortality rate in nursing homes,” Feagins said. “Yes, people got the vaccine and later died of other causes, so we look very closely at the mortality rate.”
Do long-term care centers that receive the vaccine have a higher mortality rate?
“The answer is no,” he said. “They have had a lower mortality rate because they have had less COVID. Thus, although there have been deaths in the seven days following the vaccine, these are analyzed and evaluated. And, as far as I know at the moment, we have not found any cause and effect, nor the vaccine-related deaths. “
Although the second dose of the vaccine may cause more robust reaction, Said Feagins, most people who experiment secondary effects of the vaccine are reported low fever, nausea and pain at the injection site.
