CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES.-A Mexican migrant dying in the last hours while trying to enter the United States by the southern border with California through a sewer in the area of ​​San Ysidro, confirmed the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego.

The death occurred after heavy rains were recorded which increased the currents in the drainage.

An agent from Border patrol report to the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper that he heard cries for help from a gate he opened. Here he found a dead person and a very serious one. Later, reinforcements arrived to rescue other people trapped in the drain.

“Most” of the undocumented will be deported to Mexico soon, authorities have assured.
