Magistrates pleaded guilty to Boateng of beatings and injuries, after a day of hearing, and punished him with a fine corresponding to thirty times the amount of 30,000 euros (900 thousand), the journalists found.
The former German international defender and ex ofl Bayern Munich, 33, was facing a maximum sentence of five years in prison for events that took place during a vacation in the Caribbean in July 2018.
Boateng had arrived at 10am local time at the hearing accompanied by his lawyer Kai Walden, noted an AFP journalist Anne Leiding, spokeswoman for the Munich prosecutor, took the floor to read the facts contained in the record of accusation.
“M. Boateng he first threw (the victim) a flashlight, insulted her and threw her a portable fridge that hit her in the upper right of her body, injuring her, ”he noted.
“He then walked away and then turned against her, insulted her again, beat her and threw her by the arm,” the spokeswoman added, noting that these elements are part only of the indictment and that “to clarify what happened, to know if all this corresponds to reality or not.”
Boateng he responded to the allegations for nearly two hours. According to his version, it was his partner who was aggressive and even damaged his lip at once. “I wasn’t violent, I didn’t attack her,” she said.
The alleged victim maintained his version: “He put his thumb in my eye, bit my head and threw me to the ground by my hair.”
The player was in talks at the time to join the PSG i Boateng he said the dispute revolved mainly over his partner’s demands to follow him to Paris. The transfer finally did not take place and he continued to play in Munich.
Both are also in legal dispute for custody of their 10-year-old twins, who live with him. This issue was also, indirectly, one of the issues affected by this trial in Munich.
