Israel Racó Martínez known as El Guacho received the order to kill the favorite son of “Chapo” Guzmán, failed and was tortured for hours.
Israel Racó Martínez, known as Guacho and assassin of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, was ordered in August 2010 to assassinate Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, son of Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán, who had caused the rupture between the criminal organization and the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS).
The Beltrán Leyva had information that a protected witness had described to the DEA (Drug Control Administration) of the luxury vehicles in which the pampered son of drug trafficker Iván Archivaldo Guzmán was moving.

The torture he received from the Beltrán Leyva was detailed during a trial that followed Guzmán Loera in 2018 and 2019 in the United States, according to sealed documents to which journalist Alan Feuer had access, who covered the case for the American newspaper The New York Times, Chapo hired a doctor to wake Racó Martínez every time he disappeared in pain from the torture applied to him by members of the CDS.
In addition to Guzmán Loera and his children, Dámaso López Núñez, the Graduate, was also present, one of the leaders of the cartel and who described the episode to New York prosecutors.

According to the statements, Guacho received electric shocks to the ears and tooth detachment and everything was recorded in a video of almost four minutes that was presented by the Prosecutor’s Office on January 22, 2019. In the video he appears beaten, with dirty and handcuffed clothes.
The video was recorded on a ranch owned by the graduate, located near Culiacán, Sinaloa and there were also two from Els Chapitos: Jesús Alfredo and Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar.
In the video that is still circulating on YouTube, Guacho is heard recounting that he was seen in the middle of the two sides, but that it was Arturo Beltrán Leyva, alias the Barbes or the Chief of Chiefs, who called him for a meeting, which took place a few weeks after the arrest of one of his brothers (Alfredo), the Mochomo, in which he was allegedly coerced to desert the Sinaloa Cartel and join the Beltrán Leyva family.

“Arthur [Beltrán Leyva] he asked me what he was with, I told him that of his and of the lord [del Chapo][sic], But he told me no, ‘here you will not be with the cousin [así se referían los Beltrán Leyva al Chapo], You are with us or with anyone on the cock [sic]'”, Racó Martínez is heard saying in the video.
Later, in a meeting in Cuernavaca, Morelos, in that then criminal bastion of the Beltrán Leyva, the Barbes paid to him to the Guacho so that it contracted assassins and killed the Chapo, to Iván Guzmán, to Ismael the May Zambada Garci’a and Ignacio Nacho Colonel Villarreal.
According to the graduate, Racó Martínez was killed that afternoon after recording the video. When asked who had told him to kill Guacho, López Núñez replied, “My compare,” referring to Chapo.
