The Department of Health (DS) reported on the intervention with tourists who failed to comply with the Travel Declaration Form established on the Island.

“Research Office staff in collaboration with the Puerto Rico Interagency Group are constantly outlining strategic plans to strengthen security and citizen protection measures. Businesses must comply with protocols to prevent contagion. It is unfortunate that while many health professionals work every day dealing with the pandemic there are other people with irresponsible behavior who think the public health emergency ended when it is not true, ”the DS secretary expressed. , Carlos Mellado López.
While the Secretary reaffirmed that tourists are required, in turn, to follow the rules set out in the Executive Order. “The tourists, with whom they intervened, came from Chicago and Brooklyn and did not provide a negative result of the molecular test.”
The statement of the Travel declaration form (TDF) has clauses where the citizen assures that the information is correct, if it is false, they could face up to three years in prison for perjury. At the moment, the case is being consulted with the Prosecutor’s Office.
