Health orders the closure of 15 establishments

The Department of Health ordered the closure of 15 establishments and fined 10 businesses for breaching the protocol to prevent COVID-19.

The establishments that were ordered to close are: Drinking Die Sport Bar, Mr. King Smoke Shop and Wine, Groceries Bar La Minita, Business 1023 Restaurant & Bar, Groceries El Padrinito MĂ©ndez, Jalao Mini Market & Bar, Super Grocery Business la T , Old Clothes, Diana’s Pizza at the Diego Bird, Michael’s Cafe, Puma Garage, The New Yucayeque on River Stones, Jalao Mini Market & Bar, Business Flag and CVS Pharmacy.

On the other hand, the fined businesses are: Social Burrito, Julius Restaurant, County Walgreens, Friends of the Yangtze, La Parada Square Groceries, Hot Water, Lokos kokos Bar and Grill Business, Cell World and Star Barber Shop , among other interventions.

In addition, they intervened with tourists who failed to comply with the Travel Declaration Form established on the Island.

From July 15, 2020, all travelers must submit a test completed 72 hours or less prior to their trip to Puerto Rico. Those who do not present the test must remain in quarantine for 14 days or until they present a negative result.

While the Secretary reaffirmed that tourists are required, in turn, to follow the rules set out in the Executive Order. “The tourists, with whom they intervened, came from Chicago and Brooklyn and did not provide a negative result of the molecular test.”

The statement of the Travel declaration form (TDF) has clauses where the citizen assures that the information is correct, if it is false, they could face up to three years in prison for perjury. At the moment, the case is being consulted with the Prosecutor’s Office.
