The probable death, corresponds to a woman of 73 years of the region of Bayamón.
With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 1,187 and the probable ones are 245, so the total death toll is 1,432.
According to the agency, the change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as having occurred in the last 24 hours. Similarly, the reporting of deaths may vary, to the extent that the processes of recording and coding the causes of death occur, which could take several days.
On the other hand, the total results of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 67,426, of which 36,295 are women and 31,131 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sampling date from 9 to 23 December. The total was adjusted after adding 152 cases with sampling dates from August 24 to December 8; in addition, four duplicate cases were subtracted.
The report includes the results of antigen tests, which the CDC categorizes as probable cases. The total positive results in these tests are 3,998, which was adjusted after subtracting 43 cases that had a positive molecular test later and were added to the confirmed cases reported in this report; in addition, two cases were added with a sampling date of December 4 and 7, respectively.
