Cases of coronavirus, COVID-19, in Puerto Rico continue to increase with more than 500 new reported infections and nearly 500 hospitalizations.
According to the agency’s digital portal as of yesterday, September 3, 2021, an average of 527 positive cases were identified, of which 331 were by molecular test and 196 by antigens. In total, the cases identified in total with molecular testing are 143,938 and 29,361 per antigen.
An additional 9 deaths are reported, for a total of 2,907. The region with the most deaths in this report was Bayamón with four, followed by the metropolitan area with 3 and two in Caguas.
As for hospitalizations, until yesterday Health indicates that there are 498, with 467 adults and 31 minors. Of the total adults, 111 are in intensive care and 84 have a fan.
