The Department of Health (DS) reported today, Sunday, two additional deaths corresponding to two women aged 55 and 56, one of them from the metro area and the other from the Fajardo region.
The SD daily report also confirmed a total of 2,192 new virus-positive cases, reflecting the samples taken between 8 and 22 January this year. Of these cases, 831 are confirmed by molecular testing.
With these latest figures, the total number of deaths on the island from coronavirus rose to 1,773, and confirmed cases amounted to 84,578.
