Mexican midfielder Héctor Herrera will be out for next Sunday’s Atletico Madrid match against Real Madrid, according to several reports claiming he did not train this morning for “personal reasons”.
Ràdio Marca and other local media reported that Herrera will be out in the derby against Real Madrid for personal reasons. He joins José María Giménez, who will not play on Sunday either.
The Mexican had recently overcome the coronavirus and the midfielder had joined the rest of the team last week.
Herrera has been sidelined due to various circumstances, and with this absence he will accumulate 13 league games without playing.
Interestingly, it was against Real Madrid in the first round where his decline began. The club has not yet issued any stance in this case.
