A fed up woman has been amusingly documenting her husband’s failed attempts to keep the house tidy after he went on strike for his claim that he was the only one doing the cleaning.
Jalie Gil, 27, of Florida, posted her first video on her @wifestrike TikTok account last week, explaining that she was going to give a lesson to her spouse by refusing to clean up after him for a week.
Things started to break down quickly in the house and, in follow-up clips, he showed how his clothes were overflowing, his things were messy all over the side of the bathroom sink and his shoes on the floor.

Amazing: Jalie Gil, 27, of Florida went on strike after her husband swore he was the only one who cleaned their house and has amusingly documented the consequences on TikTok

Mess: Things started to break down quickly in the house, and she showed how her clothes were overflowing and her shoes were lying on the floor.

Can’t bother you? In a video, Jalie sank the camera to show how her husband placed the toilet paper on top of the empty roll instead of changing it.
“No, it doesn’t clean,” he said, noting that he wasn’t going to particularly scrub the marks he left on the toilet that morning.
Fortunately, the inside of the toilet bowl was clean the next day, but he noted that the toilet seat was not. She sank the camera to show how her husband placed the toilet paper on top of the empty roll instead of changing it.
As for the laundry, he left it scattered all over the couch for her to fold, which she did not do under the terms of the strike. There was also a lost sock on the floor that remained there for days.
According to Jalie, her husband was still trying to get a problem with the mess during the third day with few improvements.
His attempt to clean the bathroom resulted in a clean blue stain on the top of the toilet, while the the plunger, toilet brush and trash can were spread on the floor.

Messy man: Jalie’s husband left his clothes clean all over the couch and the side of the sink was full of products and tools

Too busy? Jalie pointed out on day four that the objects were also left in the sink the next day

Difficult to handle: throughout the strike, the laundry was constantly overflowing and there was always at least one random sock on the floor
He later claimed his toddler had dropped everything in the bathroom, but that didn’t explain why he didn’t get it back.
Her panel and hair dryer were also overflowing with clothes, causing Jalie has to keep in mind that this is “how the laundry looks when her husband does it.”
Realizing that his wife was not going to fold the clean clothes he left on the couch, he returned to the basket, where he remained unfolded on the fifth day.
He finally wiped the mess off his side of the sink, but inexplicably left all the cleaning products on the counter.
The bathroom was also scrubbed and Jalie gave credit where it should be called, saying the toilet was the “best” she has seen since they were installed. However, he was unable to fill the toilet paper holder.

Here he is: Jalie showed fans her husbands playing video games in the middle of the strike

Personal choice? On the fourth day, Jalie’s husband no longer slept on pillowcases

Still messy: while he finally cleaned up the singing, he set aside the cleaning products, which beat the point. He also failed to take out the trash
Throughout the strike, there was always at least one random sock on the floor and an object her husband did not keep. He was also unable to get control of the laundry.
On the seventh day, he showed how the clothes were still all over the couch and laundry, saying he would not take over the jobs.
“Because the areas of concern have not been addressed, the women’s strike must continue,” she wrote in the title of the video.
Many encouraged Jalie to move on and showed her support in the comments.
‘Today is SIGNIFICANT! Wait for the strike to end after today. Stay strong until it cleans !! wrote one person.

Frustrating: By the end of the week, the clean clothes were still all over the couch waiting for it to fold

Not very tidy: there was no toilet paper in the holder and the savannah and soap were left on the floor in the shower

Still underway: Once the week was over, he declared that the strike was continuing because “areas of concern have not been addressed”
“The strike continues: HOW SHOULD IT be,” added another, while someone else shared, “Girl, it’s good for you. We hope you learn and change and that you can all move forward as a team in the end.”
Jalie told BoredPanda that she did the TikTok account on a “whim” after her husband joked about doing all the cleaning during a conversation about housework.
“I knew there had to be people with these ailments of husband and cohabitant,” she said. “I realized I wasn’t alone and that I was conditioned to clean up quietly after my husband literally forgets that he never left a mess.”
The mother added that there have been “small improvements” in her husband’s behavior, but there are still problems.
“I think a week of duration is not enough and I will continue until the areas of concern are addressed,” he said.
