Apple today unveiled the iPhone 13 with a faster processor, new camera features and better battery life, but it looks a lot like its replacement predecessor. With one exception: the slot has been reduced by 20 percent in width. This is what it looks like compared to the iPhone 12.

As you can see, the notch on the iPhone 13 is actually narrower than the iPhone 12 thanks to the location of the speaker, which has been moved to the top of the phone. However, the notch is still very much present and noticeable and in fact looks a bit higher than that of the iPhone 12. It probably won’t make a big difference compared to the iPhone 12 when viewing photos and videos full screen.
There are rumors that the iPhone 14 could remove the slot completely, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll expect a lot.
