Here’s how to pre-register for COVID-19 in Montgomery County.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Public Health District announced that it will open a COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration site for people going through phase 1B.

According to a press release, the county is expected to receive 400 doses of the vaccine this week and will administer it to people 65 and older and adults 18 and older with at least one chronic illness.

Medical conditions that meet the requirements include:

  • Cancer

  • Chronic kidney disease

  • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

  • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary heart disease, or cardiomyopathies

  • Transplantation of solid organs

  • Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg / m2 or higher)

  • Sickle cell disease

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Anyone who meets the requirements and wants to get the vaccine at an automated clinic should follow these steps to pre-register:

  1. Go to mcphd-tx.org today at 2pm Click on the link to join the pre-registration list. (Will not be available until 2 p.m.)
  2. Watch an email tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26, 2021) between 10am and 5pm at [email protected] to schedule your appointment.

  3. You will have 24 hours from sending the email to make your appointment. If you do not follow the steps to make your appointment, your site will be delivered to the next person on the list.

  4. More location instructions will be provided when the online appointment is made.

The county wants to point out that “pre-registration does not guarantee an appointment. Appointments will not be made by phone. If you are on the pre-registration list and do NOT receive any vaccines in this assignment, you will need to re-enroll in the next assignment. Be sure to check your email regularly. All pre-registration information will remain confidential. “
