Here’s how to register for the coronavirus vaccine in the Houston area

HOUSTON – As more doses of the coronavirus vaccine arrive in the Houston area, officials are stepping up the process of administering these traits.

Vaccines are only available to eligible individuals under phases 1A and 1B of the state distribution plan. Click here for more information on who is included in these phases.

Eligible individuals can also contact their healthcare provider directly for information on how to receive the vaccine.

The Houston Department of Health has launched an online registration portal and a hotline where people can sign up for appointments. Demand has been high and telephone line hold times have been reported.

On January 4, the Department of Health announced that its consultations at the COVID-19 vaccine clinic are reserved for the rest of January and no additional appointments are being made at this time. Officials said as the dose allocation increases in the city, more appointments will be available.

Fort Bend Health and Human Services has launched an online registration portal where people can register for appointments when they receive vaccine submissions.

Officials said they plan to vaccinate some members of the general public when it is made available to the county. Information on how to make an appointment will be posted at https://mcphd-tx.org/ when doses are available.

Officials said vaccine distributions will be made at Brazoria County health clinics once the county receives vaccine shipments. They said residents should follow the latest updates at https://www.brazoriacountytx.gov/.

The Texas State Department of Health Services has created a map of health care providers who have been given doses of the vaccine. You can click here to see it.

Officials said patients should contact the provider directly to determine vaccine availability.
