Remember how PlatinumGames triggered four major announcements last year? They ended up being Platinum Games Tokyo, Project GG, The Wonderful 101: Remastered, and a joke from the April Fools, which didn’t fall too well at the time.
He also has a special “bonus” announcement that he has yet to make. In a new interview with VGC, Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya told fans to expect something that is a little “smaller” compared to previous announcements, but expects them to still “throw it away.”
“We want to reveal it at the right time, but what we can say at this point is that it was always thought of as the “Platinum Four,” so I think expectations should be something extra. That said, this is something we have been working on for a long time. “
The plan was to get this announcement out sooner, but due to the pandemic, it was pushed back.
“We wanted to get it out a little earlier, but then the coronavirus came out, which I know is a common excuse, but hopefully when we can start talking about it it will bring a smile to the faces of our fans and have a good reaction like: “Ah, we love these Platinum guys!”
