Hilaria Baldwin returns to Instagram after the Spanish heritage scandal

He’s back!

Hilaria Baldwin returned to social media on Friday, posting a snapshot of herself with her husband Alec Baldwin and their five children.

The 37-year-old pseudo-Spaniard spent a month in public view after it was discovered that Hillary Hayward-Thomas had actually been born and raised in Boston, unlike Mallorca, as many people believed.

“I’ve spent the last month listening, reflecting, and wondering how I can learn and grow,” he began with a long caption. “My parents raised my brother and I with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a real sense of belonging to both of them.”

She continued, “The way I talked about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained; it should have been clearer and I’m sorry. I’m proud of the way I grew up and “We are educating our children to share the same love and respect for both. Being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow is what we have built on our community and I look forward to returning to the supportive and kind environment we have built together.”

The Hilaria scandal unfolded in December after a Twitter user called her with a simple remark: “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her struggle for a decade where she impersonates a Spanish person.”

From there, Hilaria’s life exploded as the clips resurfaced, including one that showed she didn’t know what the English word cucumber was in the “Today” show. He also struggled to sign his 2009 tax return.

She later insisted that she only hid her background as a Bostonian to protect the privacy of her parents, who later moved to Spain.

Hilaria previously said she would take a break on the social media platform in December, but posted a few hours later.

Alec, 62, took a break on social media last month, promising to stay off Twitter in the wake of the scandal.

A Hilaria representative did not return to us immediately.
