A Michigan home inspector has been charged with criminal charges since he allegedly masturbated with an Elmo doll while working in a child’s bedroom.
Kevin Wayne VanLuven, 59, of Clarkston, was charged Wednesday with felony counts of aggravated indecent exposure and malicious destruction of property under $ 200, according to WJBK, a Detroit Fox subsidiary. He was admitted to Oakland County Jail on $ 2,500 bail.
VanLuven, hired by homebuyers to inspect a home in Oxford Township on March 12, was allowed to enter the home with the buyers’ real estate agent by the owners, who left while the inspection was in progress. let’s go.
While outside, one of the owners received a webcam alert on his phone that movement had been detected in the nursery. That’s when he saw VanLuven masturbate, according to The Smoking Gun.
But this is not all. When the camera recorded, VanLuven grabbed the Elmo from the floor “and seemed to be pleased with the doll,” the Royal Oak Tribune reported.
The owners called 911 and officers showed up while VanLuven was still doing the inspection.

At first, VanLuven told officers he touched the wrist only to inspect a power outlet, according to authorities. When he confronted the camera, he apologized and he made incriminating statements, the sheriff told reporters.
“Just when I think I’ve seen it all, someone steps forward and surprises me with a new level of disturbing actions,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard told a news conference. “This is a disgusting memory to be careful about who you let into your house. The actions of these owners will probably prevent this defendant from entering anyone else’s home.
If convicted, VanLuven faces two years in prison and $ 2,500 fines. He was ordered he underwent a mental health assessment and was banned from being alone on any residential property he did not own while awaiting trial. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the owners of Oxford Township.
