In just 24 hours, the video clip of “Homeland and Life”, the new theme released by Maykel Osorbo, Yotuel, Gent de Zona, Descemer Bueno and other Cuban musicians, has surpassed 369,000 views on YouTube.
On Tuesday night, the artists gathered in Miami to present the music video, and they did an emotional video call from Cuba to Maykel Osorbo, El Funky and Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, artists who also participated in the project.
The direction of the video be in charge of Asiel Babastro, One of the favorite directors of urban music in Cuba, and features the special appearance of artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, leader of the San Isidro Movement, the actions have joined Cubans both inside and outside the island.
In the video clip – the return reads: “It’s over, it’s over, 60 years locked the domino” – are images of recent events in Cuba, from scenes of violence and repression to the solidarity it aroused in all over the world the actions of the San Isidro movement.
“My God, they brought tears to my eyes, mothers crying for their children who left. Cuba is free,” a Cuban woman commented on Yotuel’s YouTube channel, from where the video was released.
“How great are my brothers, they have managed to express in this song the poignant cry of all our Cuban people who cry out for Freedom! What a thrill, Long live Free Cuba!”, Said another Cuban.
“I feel proud as a Cuban to see our artists coming together for the first time to sing for Cuba’s freedom. Congratulations to those who have joined, we hope and many more raise their voices in the name of the blinded voices of the people. Long live Free Cuba, “said another.
