Honduras selected Canada for their World Cup qualifier debut

San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The delegation of the National Team of Honduras has traveled this Sunday morning to Toronto for its debut against Canada in the CONCACAF qualifier for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The catracho team commanded by Fabián Coit departed from Ramón Villeda Morales Airport in San Pedro Sula, arrived in Houston and then took a charter flight bound for Canada.

Before arriving on Canadian soil, footballers and the coaching staff will have to undergo the respective COVID-19 tests as part of the protocol they require in Canada. The Bicolor will be arriving in the evening in Toronto, direct to rest in the concentration hotel.

Legionnaire Bryan Moya, of the Club Desportivo Primeiro d’Agost in Angola, did not travel with his teammates as he cannot enter the United States due to a migration problem, but he will do so via Panama to arrive in Toronto at about 11.30pm.

Several legionaries will be arriving in Canada on the same day. The first to join Toronto was Romell Kyoto, after playing for his team CF Montreal. Maynor Figueroa, Boniek García, Andy Najar, Jonathan Rubio and Alex López will also join today, while on Monday four more legionaries will do so and on Tuesday Rigoberto Rivas, who is traveling from Italy.

After three days of work in San Pedro Sula, the Honduran team will hold its first training session in Canada on Sunday and will be a two-day match, the same for Tuesday.
