Tonight on the WWE TLC, Randy Orton defeated The Fiend to win the Firefly Inferno match in the main event of the night. After the win, Randy Orton literally turned on The Fiend to close the pay-per-view. As The Fiend’s body burned and Orton put his signature on, TLC 2020 went off the air.
Now Paul Davis of WrestlingNews.Co has revealed in his latest report how Randy Orton managed to set The Fiend on fire in front of millions of fans. WrestleVotes had already reported that the match was previously recorded in the afternoon. Davis added that the two superstars stopped halfway on several occasions and made a lot of recoveries to carry out the dangerous points of the match. This included the place where The Fiend placed Orton on a seesaw and tried to set him on fire, but The Viper pulled away at the last minute.
In addition, the last gasoline-related match spot was heavily edited by the WWE production team and a mannequin was used to make it look like The Fiend had been set on fire by Orton. Davis also reported that the WWE had staff trained off-camera with fire extinguishers to put out fires during the match.
What happens to The Fiend now after the loss to Randy Orton?
In the plot, Randy Orton has definitely finished The Fiend, and the WWE universe praises the match if Twitter reactions are any indication. It would be interesting to see what happens next in this saga. The demon could return immediately to avenge what Orton did to him on tonight’s show, or he could spend his good time returning to WWE TV.
Alexa Bliss, who is currently on vacation, has also been an integral part of this story so far. It would be interesting to find out how WWE uses it to advance on RAW. Orton had recently lost the WWE title to Drew McIntyre, but has now secured a major victory over one of the most terrifying entities in the entire WWE.
