It can be annoying to live the macOS dual platform life i Windows, or even just “Apple and all that is not Apple.” But mef savings your passwords in Keychain, then upload them to iCloud to sync with on your Apple devices, you can now extend this functionality to Windows systems. (Order from.)
Apple has released a new browser extension that lets you extract your keychain passwords to Chrome (and with a small tweak, Edge Chromium). You’ll also be able to sync new passwords you create in these browsers with the iCloud keychain then you can use them on your connected Apple devices.
Yes, this means that Firefox users are ready for this, aand it also means that you can only access your passwords through the browser; The keychain is not yet integrated into a good icloud-dot-com, nor is there any Apple app you can use on Windows, how could you 1Password or LastPass.
To get started in Chrome, start your browser and go to Chrome Web Store take the ICloud passwords extension. Install it, and then go install it iCloud for Windows if you have not already done so. You need version 12 of the application to be able to do the extension. Apple appears to have released the update from the Microsoft Store at this time, but you may have already updated it last week (or may be able to update it soon).

I don’t have it, but I know you’ll need to check this little password box for the browser extension to sync passwords with iCloud. So if you already have Windows iCloud version 12.0 (or when it appears), make sure you check this option or that the extension can’t do anything. Other than that, working with the iCloud password extension is as easy as any other password manager; you should have no problems.
However, you might have a problem if you try to sync the extension with iCloud for Windows when using Edge Chromium. The extension installs well, but you’ll need to indicate that you’re syncing with Internet Explorer and not Chrome, which may require you to adjust your “Bookmarks” settings. I’ll try it as soon as I get the updated version of the app, but this is the quick fix I’ve read that seems to have worked for other people. Pretend Edge Chromium is Internet Explorer, not Chrome, although it has much more in common with the latter.
