President Trump spent Christmas Day doing what he knew best to do, and hit the links at his Trump International Golf Course in Palm Beach, Florida, where he will celebrate the holidays.
The president was seen arriving shortly before 10 a.m. Christmas with Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, one of its main congressional allies and golf partners.
But Trump was also photographed with a much rarer companion: a pair of reading glasses.
The commander-in-chief, 74, was nailed to the back of the Beast with Graham, wearing the “Make America Great Again” cap and a pair of glasses.
On Friday, the president announced that he would make a virtual address to service members serving overseas.
“I will now make a small speech to service members around the world” Trump has tweeted shortly before 3 p.m.
“It’s a Christmas celebration. Video Conferencing: Uninvited Fake News! ” added.
Meanwhile, President-elect Joe Biden has also returned to where he spent most of 2020: inside Wilmington, Del., With his wife Jill Biden.
Biden’s transition team called at 9 a.m., which means the old veep won’t make any Christmas trips.
In their holiday message posted Friday morning, the president-elect and his wife acknowledged that they would spend the holidays alone, skipping Christmas Eve dinner that usually hosts up to 25 family members.
“We’re going to miss our family, but that’s what we need to do to keep our family safe,” Biden said.
“We hope you also consider limiting travel and the size of family reunions this year.”
Before leaving Washington, Trump vetoed a $ 740 billion defense bill and refused to sign a $ 2.3 trillion COVID-19 government relief and funding bill.
It is unclear when he will return to the White House, although he is expected to return to Washington as soon as New Year’s Day.
