Storer (Perth, 24), winner at the Balcony of Alicante, was the best in the numerous breakaway of the day and repeated victory with a time of 4h.09.21, followed by 22 seconds by a group with the Belgian Mauri Vansevenant ( Deceuninck) and the Frenchman Clement Champoussin (Ag2r Citroën).
Primož Roglič, who suffered a fall when he escaped from the group of favorites, entered the finish line in 11.49 minutes alongside Enric Mas, Miguel Ángel López and Jack Haig. Colombian Egan Bernal (Ineos) lost 37 seconds over his direct rivals in the general.
