Hunter Biden’s texts trigger the denial of the secret service by a gun incident

Hunter Biden sent a text message saying the Secret Service responded after his handgun disappeared in 2018, contrary to the agency’s claim that it was not involved, according to The Post.

In a lengthy message sent the following year, President Biden’s son described the situation in detail, saying his ex-lover-in-law, Hallie Biden, threw the gun in a trash can outside Janssen’s Market, a store Grocery Stores in Wilmington, Del.

“He stole my gun from the trunk lock box and threw it in a full trash can on top of Jansens [sic]. Then he told me it was my problem, ”Hunter wrote.

“Then when the FBI police came in, the secret service said they took it away from me because I was afraid of being hurt because of my alcohol and drug problem and our volatile relationship and that he was afraid of children. “

The January 29, 2019 message adds, “Not really joking with the police made me convince myself that Hallie was implying that she was afraid of me.”

In another message, sent closer to the incident, Hunter described the handgun as “my 38.”

“I took it from the truck’s lock box and put it in the PAPER BAG AND threw it in the trash at the local high-end store. For no reason, ”he wrote on December 6, 2018.
“And I was scared when I saw that it was ten minutes after I picked her up and when she looked for her again after I scared her away, which led me to the state police investigation. History real. “

Both messages are contained on a hard drive obtained by The Post containing the contents of a damaged laptop that Hunter left in the Wilmington repair shop in April 2019 and which was never recovered.

The Macbook Pro laptop was later confiscated by the FBI, apparently as part of what Hunter said last year that is an investigation into his “tax affairs” by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware.

On Thursday, Politico reported that the incident related to Hunter’s .38 caliber revolver took place on October 23, 2018 and that the firearm was caught out of the trash and surrendered a few days later by a man. great that he found it while looking for recyclable material. articles.

During the course of an investigation into her disappearance, secret service agents turned to the owner of the gun store where Hunter bought it 11 days earlier and asked for paperwork related to the purchase, Politico said, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The store owner turned down the request, suspecting the secret service wanted to cover up Hunter’s property if the weapon was later used in a crime, Politico said.

The owner later handed over the documents to the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which regulates the sale of weapons, Politico said.

Law enforcement officials told Politico that any involvement in the secret service, either on behalf of the Biden family or on its own initiative, would be inappropriate because the incident was being investigated by Delaware State Police and the FBI.

In a statement Thursday, the Secret Service denied any role in the investigation of the missing weapon.

“U.S. Secret Service records confirm that the agency did not provide protection to any members of the Biden family in 2018 and that the Secret Service did not participate in this alleged incident,” the agency said.

The secret service doubled on Friday in that statement, saying: “The agency maintains that there was no involvement of the secret service in the matter described.

The White House said Friday that it was alongside a statement Thursday that said, “President Biden was unaware of or involved in the alleged role of the secret service in this incident and neither he nor any family member were protected in that moment.

The White House also said Thursday: “President Biden was unaware of or involved in the alleged role of the secret service in this incident and neither he nor any family member was protected at the time.”

Hunter sent the text messages to former famous psychiatrist Keith Ablow, a Fox News contributor who had his Massachusetts medical license suspended in 2019 and later expired.

The Massachusetts Board of Medicine labeled him an “immediate and serious threat to public health, safety, and welfare” for allegations that he “engaged in sexual activities and violations of boundaries with multiple patients, diverted controlled substances from patients.” and had disruptive behavior displaying and pointing a firearm on several occasions so as to frighten an employee and fraudulently renew his license. “

Hunter also sent the 2019 message to Hallie, with whom she has admitted to having an intimate relationship after the death of her husband, her older brother Beau Biden, and away from her now ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle.

According to a July 2019 profile in the New Yorker, Hunter and Hallie separated several months after they began living together in August 2017, after which they moved to Los Angeles in early 2018.

Hallie did not immediately return the remaining messages on two phone numbers listed in her name, nor did Hunter’s attorney respond immediately to an email seeking comment.

Ablow declined to comment.
