Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity had a strong release in November. Becoming the best-selling Musou game of all time, it presented a very nice prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, beginning just before the calamity.
It was already a pretty complete experience, but it looks like it’s not over yet. Confirmed in the latest version of Nintendo Direct, Age of Calamity will get an expansion pass. Shortly after the presentation, Nintendo released this statement:
Expand your mission to save Hyrule with the next downloadable content, as two waves of DLC arrive in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass. There are characters, scenarios and much more added along the way, with the first wave in June and the second in November. Players who purchase this Expansion Pass at Nintendo eShop for £ 17.99 / € 19.99 will get both waves of DLC as they are released. From the 28th, they will also get an additional weapon and costume for the game as a purchase bonusth May. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity expansion pass will be available for purchase shortly after presentation.
Follow the example of Breath of the Wild, which also saw an Expansion Step with two waves of DLC. We won’t see this new content arrive until May, but you can now pre-order through Switch eShop.
