The Ikea store is testing a new program for selling used furniture.
The company says this is a pilot program that is being conducted, solely, in a Pennsylvania state store.
However, they already have plans to extend it to other stores in the future.
This pilot program works as follows: customers return their furniture originally purchased from Ikea, but they must be in good condition and in return receive a credit for the store.
This furniture will be sold in a section of the store that will offer this used furniture and in the condition in which they are.
But not all Ikea furniture will be part of the program.
Dressers and products withdrawn from the market will not be accepted for change.
