The International Museum of Art and Science will host the first night of family fun of the decade on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m.
IMAS family fun nights are held on the first Thursday of each month and include programs focused on family learning.
Thursday’s family fun night is called Geology Bash and will feature activities on the Earth’s volcanoes and layers.
Dr. Juan González, associate professor of the UTRGV School of Earth, Environmental and Marine Sciences, will be at your disposal to give you an idea of his research on the geological history of the Rio Grande Valley.
Visitors to the museum will have the opportunity to explore the IMAS art galleries, which include Mexican and Latin American folk art, and the recently opened mandatory measures. Erica Daborn’s dialogues with Mother Earth and the Christmas Tree Forest can also be seen before her last Sunday.
Family Fun Nights will continue in February with Art Bash on February 6 and Science Food on March 5. Everyone who wants to be interested can visit theimasonline.org to see all the themes of Family Fun Night for 2021.
Family fun evening activities are included in the cost of general admission and are free for IMAS members. WIC and EBT cardholders can attend Family Fun Nights for $ 1 per person.
