IMSS enables Temporary Care Center for Covid-19 patients in Lindavista

the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) fired the Lindavista Unit Temporary Care Center que was enabled in the General Hospital of the area (HGZ) No. 24, with 40 hospital beds for convalescents of Covid-19.

The Director General of the IMSS, Zoé Robledo, Has indicated that a strong team has been formed between the institutions of the health sector and the government of Mexico City to address the pandemic in the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico in the face of the increase in infections and assured that it will be relieved in hospitals with high occupancy.

He highlighted the effort of the federal government so that the health personnel who care for COVID-19 are the first to be vaccinated, since in the health emergency they are the ones who have been in the first line of care for patients with this disease.

The head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Recalled that from December 15, 2020 the date in the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM) increased by 42% the hospital capacity for the care of Covid-19, which represents about 3 thousand beds, and which has been possible thanks to the coordination of all health systems.

“If we think that a hospital has 120 beds, which means reaching an additional 3 thousand beds of care, hospital conversion, hospitals that had already been reconverted and that were reconverted, new hospital beds of temporary units like this, it has really been an extraordinary effort what has been done in the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico “, he pointed out.

Meanwhile, the Director General of the ISSTE, Luis Antonio Ramírez Pineda, Detailed that the health sector deploys coordinated work and maintains constant communication to support and provide the service to any citizen who needs it.

The Temporary Care Center is located on the esplanade of IMSS Subdelegation 1 North, Mexico City, and has 40 hospital beds to strengthen the medical care of convalescent patients referred with Covid-19.

The human resources are made up of 33 doctors, 99 nurses, 35 paramedics, six technicians-seven administrators; for workers and the reception of inputs there is an alternating input and differentiated flows to prevent cross-infections.

The unit has 40 vital sign monitors, four transfer fans pediatric-adult, eight fans, four red carts with complete equipment for resuscitation with pacemaker monitor defibrillator, electrocardiograph and radiological unit.
