One of the most popular playable character requests from Super Smash Bros. over the years he has been Ubisoft’s Rayman.
While it has already been added to Nintendo’s star fighter as a spirit and trophy, the chances of it being incorporated as a playable character seem much less likely, especially now that Ubisoft it is not making a lot of use of it, and considering the fact that Sakurai only has a few slots left in the second Fighters Pass.
However, that hasn’t stopped a fan from soliciting Ubisoft’s beloved pet. The New Zealand-based Smash fan is so named CallMeKorora on Twitter – he sent a letter to Nintendo of America last year – asking Rayman to Smash, and surprisingly, Nintendo responded.
In short, while there is no clear line of “yes” or “no,” the Nintendo representative was more than happy to get the suggestion to the “other departments” of the company. Of course, it may not convey the message, but the letter itself is quite neat. It also included some free bookmarks.
There has been a lot of talk about adding Rayman to the Smash Bros. games. in the past as a playable fighter, and even Ubisoft said it did all this a few years ago:
