After tying the series against Australia, the India team is preparing for the next Sydney test, which starts on January 7th.
The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) posted on Twitter a video in which players could be seen perfecting their throwing skills under the watchful eye of coach R Sridhar. They threw the ball at random and threw themselves back into the stumps that were part of their exercise.

Meanwhile, on Friday, pacer with left arm T Nataraj was included in the Indian Test squad as a replacement for Umesh Yadav. The latter suffered a strain on his left calf muscle on the 3rd day of the Boxing Day test in Melbourne. The BCCI, in a statement, stated that Yadav will not fully recover before the remaining two test matches and that he has been ruled out of the series.
