ISALAMABAD: The Pakistani army said on Friday that India “has not lost love” towards the Afghan people and alleged that its actions in Afghanistan were only aimed at harming Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference on the situation in Afghanistan in the city of Rawalpindi, the garrison, Major General Babar Iftikhar, a spokesman for the Pakistani army, said India’s role in the country devastated by the war was “extremely negative.”
“We need to understand what India’s role has been in Afghanistan. I think that whatever investment they made in Afghanistan and the kind of influence they developed, it was all done with one intention: to spoil. Pakistan, ”he alleged, adding that they (India) have no lost love for Afghans.
“India poisoned the minds of the Afghan leadership, its intelligence agencies and the army, leading to negative statements against Pakistan,” he said.
The military spokesman alleged that the India Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), along with the National Security Directorate (NDS) of Afghanistan, had extended aid to terrorist organizations, such as the Tehreek-i. -Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Daesh (Islamic State), among others, for conspiring against Pakistan.
“The whole goal was to hurt Pakistan. If they (the Afghan spy agency) were doing their own job, they would have been much better prepared to take on what is happening today,” he said.
The spokesman said Pakistan had been contacting the Afghan government to formalize a border control mechanism, including the exchange of information, but “we” did not receive a positive response. “We have offered him (army training) several times, but only six cadets have come. However, hundreds and thousands of Afghan army soldiers went to train in India and various training teams. of the Indian army were placed in Afghanistan to train Afghan forces, ”he said, noting that peace in Pakistan was directly related to peace in Afghanistan.
The spokesman further said that while the country’s armed forces were conducting security operations on the western border, there were “massive” ceasefire (CFV) violations on its eastern border.
