An Instagram star who used makeup and editing to make her face look like “Zombie Angelina Jolie” was sentenced to a decade in an Iranian prison a year after she was arrested for social media activities.
Sahar Thapar, 19, whose real name is Fatehme Kishwant, has gained nearly 500,000 followers since releasing pictures of his vibrant face.
The Daily Mail reports that Thapar’s lawyer has confirmed that his client has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in the past few days. According to the Guardian, he was accused of corrupting young people and insulting the Islamic Republic.
