Intel Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake 8 Core CPU Benchmark Leak

Intel’s Core i9-11900K primary CPU is again rated at the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark, this time with a comparison with the Core i9-10900K. As part of the Rocket Lake desktop lineup, the Core i9-11900K aims to reclaim the gaming throne from AMD, which has achieved excellent performance enhancements with their latest Gen 3 based Raison 5000 series processors.

Intel Core i9-11900K 8 Core Flagship Rocket Lake CPU Benchmark Leaked, Faster Than 10 Core Comet Lake Flagship

Yesterday, the specifications for the Intel Core i9-11900K were leaked and now we know what kind of processor we are getting as an 11th General offering. This chip has 8 cores and 16 threads to feature. The result is 16 MB L3 cache (2 MB per request) and 4 MB L2 cache (512 KB per request). As for boost clocks, we have already seen the CPU running at 3.5 GHz base frequencies, but for the boost, the CPU will have a maximum boot clock of 5.2 GHz (1-core), while all core boost frequency will be maintained at 4.8 GHz.

This chip will feature a thermal speed boost, which should provide the 100 MHz tab at maximum clock frequency. This will lead to a 5.3 GHz single-core boost clock, the first CPU to hit such a high frequency out of the box. However, keep in mind that the Core i9-11900K will have fewer cores and threads than the Intel Core i9-10900K, regardless of the use of Cyprus Cove cores. This is partly due to the attachment of the cypress cove to the refined 14nm process node. The CPU is said to have a first phase power limit of 125W, which is standard for a primary Intel SKU and is rated for a 2nd level power limit or PL2 250W.

Discovered by definition TUM_APISAK And the Intel Core i9-11900K 1080p and Crazy Preset running Singularity benchmark that delivers on average up to 62.8 FPS. The platform runs on 32GB DTR4 memory and RTX 2080D graphics card. Compared to the Core i9-10900K results of the same user, the Core i9-11900K rocket lag chip shows a 9% performance improvement.

.

A similar test site with the AMD Raison 9 5950X, AMD’s Raison 5000 layer fast chip, averages 57 FPS. Rocket Lake CPU Raison 5000 chip leads by 10%. It is reasonable to expect a 5-10% performance lead on the 10 core Comet Lake chip as we get the new Cyprus Cove cores, but the 11th General Flagship will come with fewer cores and threads. From the look of things, the Cyprus Cove architecture and high clock speed will equal the performance difference from 10 cores to 8 cores in the new 11th General Flagship. It remains to be seen whether the 8 Cypress Cove cores will be adequate for all types of workloads, not just gaming.

In addition to the Core i9-11900K CPU benchmark, it also appeared on the Intel Core i5-11400 SiSoftware Sandra database. This chip has 6 cores, 12 threads, a 2.60 GHz base clock and a 4.40 GHz boost clock. The CPU comes with 12 MB L3 cache, 3 MB L2 cache and DTP 65W (PL1).

The processor benchmarks are comparable to its predecessor Core 5-10400, which has a similar core configuration, but the clock speed is rated at 2.90 GHz base and 4.30 GHz boost. The following is how the two CPUs are stacked compared to their performance.

Processor Scientific Analysis (High / Dual Accuracy) 28.48 GFLOPs 37.46 GFLOPs 131.5%

It looks like Rocket Lake will help Intel reclaim its gaming performance crown, but at the same time, AMD is definitely going to cook up its next generation Raison update lineup to face Intel’s 11th General family.
