Apple today released iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 to the public, introducing some significant new features. We’ve highlighted the biggest changes, so you can get a quick overview of what to expect once it’s installed.
Apple Fitness +
Priced at 99,999 per month and included in the highest tier Apple One bundle, Apple Fitness + is Apple’s latest service, designed to work with the Apple Watch. It also offers guided exercises provided by Apple-hired trainers, which can be used to track progress through the Apple Watch Workout.
Video exercises can also be found on the Apple TV, iPod or iPhone, and Apple Watch measurements are provided on the screen. Workout types include high-intensity interval training, indoor cycling, yoga, core, strength, dance, rowing, treadmill walking, treadmill running and mindful cooldown, and Apple offers workout recommendations and recommendations.

Airboats Max
The update adds support for Apple’s new product, the Airboats Max Over-Ear Headphones. The update features dynamic head tracking for high-reliability audio, adaptive EQ to adjust the sound in real time to the ear pads’ personal fit, active noise cancellation, transparency mode to listen to the environment around you, and spatial audio theater.
ProRaw support
iOS 14.3 brings the new ProRAW design to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Pro is designed for those who like to shoot in Raw, but Apple prefers to use image pipeline data such as noise reduction and multiframe exposure adjustment.
Those who have installed the iOS 14.3 beta on the new iPhone 12 Pro or Pro Max can enable Pro in the camera section of the Settings app. When activated, there is an toggle switch on the top right of the camera app, which can be turned off or tapped.
ProRaw photos are approximately 25MB in size, so you may need to use less of the feature if iPhone storage space is an issue. You can edit ProRAW photos in the Photos app.
Other camera additions
There is now an option to record video at 25 frames per second, and there is a new way to mirror the front facing camera to still photos on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8. 8 Plus, and iPhone X. This feature is already enabled on newer devices.
Sri sounds
Siri in iOS 14 is able to mimic animal-first alarms, musical instruments and many other sounds. “How’s the humpback whale?” You can ask Siri questions like. Or “How is the lion?” Siri should run the sound of a whale or lion.
Apple has added hundreds of different sounds, and on the iPhone and iPad, Siri will display a picture of the animal or device and then link to additional information from Wikipedia after reading the sound.
Home screen shortcuts
IOS 14.3 makes it easy and quick to launch apps with custom icons from the home screen. When you open an app with a custom icon created using shortcuts, it can no longer be redirected by the shortcut app and can be opened very quickly instead. One more banner pops up, but it’s a much more streamlined experience than before.
Ecosia search engine
Ecosia is a search engine that allows users to plant trees during searches. IOS 14.3 allows EcoSia to be the default browser, replacing Google, Yahoo, Ping and Tuck Tuck Go.
TV application
Apple is adding a new Apple TV + tab, which will make it easier to find ‘Apple TV +’ original content and confuse customers who have trouble figuring out what’s available and what’s not with the ‘Apple TV + subscription’.
There is also an advanced search feature for browsing based on categories such as type, and as you type in the search, Apple will provide the latest searches and suggestions. Apple now shows the best search results with related competitions in movies, TV shows, actors, channels and games.
Cardio Fitness
There is a new cardio fitness feature for the Apple Watch, which is also shown in the functional app on the iPhone. Cardio Fitness measures VO2 max, which is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can consume during exercise.
Measurements are made over time by the iPhone and Apple Watch to send you notifications about VO2 Max fluctuations. VO2 Max is a metric that helps you list your overall fitness level and fitness gains. Cardio fitness can be accessed with the new trend added in the functional app, and it can be set in the health app in the iPhone. Cardio fitness levels are available to users 20 years of age and older, and they are rated based on age.
Cardio fitness information varies based on age and gender, and can be classified into one of four ranges: high, above average, below average or below. Notifications will let you know if your cardio workout is low, and it will give you the motivation to move. Apple Watch has previously been able to scale the VO2Max, but the new feature has support for lower limits that require clinical testing in the past.
Application clips
IOS 14.3 includes support for launching app clips by scanning Apple-designed app clip codes using the shortcut on the camera or control center.
Health use
There is a new section on pregnancy in the Health app that works with pregnancy monitoring devices and provides information about pregnancy. Apple claims that there are options to refer to pregnancy, lactation or contraceptive use in cycle monitoring in the health app to better manage time and fertile window predictions.
Find my
The code in iOS 14.3 indicates that Apple is laying the groundwork for adding third-party item trackers to support my discovery. Third-party item trackers and Bluetooth-enabled items can be tracked using the ‘My Find’ app, and it looks like the first items with this capability will be launched soon.
Weather
Air quality health recommendations for specific air quality levels in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, India and Mexico are now provided by air quality data provided by the Presometer. Air quality data is now also available in China.
Bug fixes
iOS 14.3 Fixes a bug that did not receive some MMS messages, and with an issue that could prevent contact groups from failing to show members when writing a message.
Some videos may not look right when sharing photos from the app, and application folders may fail to open, both of which have been fixed. Apple addressed the big issue that applications that open from Spotlight may not work, and the failure of the Bluetooth option in the settings.
Full release specifications are included in our iOS 14.3 Release Notes, so there is also a bug fix for failing to charge an iPhone wirelessly less than the maximum power of the MacSafe Dio charger.
