He then said Iowa residents should follow her and get the vaccine as well.

These responses emerged from comments Ernst made in September during a campaign break in Waterloo.
Ernst responded to a voter who said he did not believe the official COVID numbers saying he was “so skeptical” of them.
“These healthcare providers and others will be reimbursed at a higher rate if COVID is tied to them, and what do you think they do?” Ernst remarked, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.
When asked to clarify his statements, Ernst said this is what I have heard from health care providers.
