If you are not connected to all the details about your iPhone, you may not notice any very interesting features. Thanks to the good nerds of TikTok, many discover that there is a tool hidden from view: the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Yes, it is a tool / sensor / button.
This tok, by Brit Brown, was released in October 2020 and shows users how to program their apple to perform functions such as taking a screenshot, opening a specific application, or blocking the screen. Does it make sense for space to be touch-sensitive (Apple products are increasingly glassy and touch-based), but seriously, how did we not notice it before? We are on our phones literally all day live.
Watch the full TikTok below. Did you know?
Remember that this is a double tap, so if your dad or mom able to advance the technology has trouble running this hack, it may be because of it.
Brown seems to be demonstrating his tutorial on the iPhone 11, so it’s safe to say that this feature will work if you have an iPhone version or higher. When Apple launched the iPhone 7, we revealed nine features hidden in the device, so hopefully everyone can learn something new today. And if you have the latest iOS, why not customize your home screen? (Remember when everyone did it a few months ago? Time doesn’t exist in times of pandemic.)
Unfortunately, none of the hacks here or TikTok address the clearly obvious problem of adding a feature to the Apple logo: most people keep their phones in a holster. And usually, this case covers the logo. Now, if the company could make a product that didn’t break into a million pieces when it dropped, that it would be a feature we could use.
