-Irina, you are from Russia, how was your childhood in that country?
“Yes, I was born in Russia in the 90s, which was a difficult time for my family because at that time my father was in the military. “
-Why was it difficult?
“Because we traveled from one city to another because of his work, and we had to adapt. My mother, who is a primary school teacher, taught children in the provinces where we came to live. being a rude childhood, my parents made sure I didn’t see it that way. “
-What difficulties did they face?
“Back then families came together to share because we had a shortage of produce, so while one family had a lot of flour, another had apples, then we shared and so we supported each other.”
-Do you remember the places where the family lived when you were a child?
“I had to live in beautiful places like the Urals and islands in the Arctic Ocean, Where there were polar bears walking the streets. In these places I had amazing experiences, like seeing northern lights, things that many don’t see in their lives. Maybe now that I’m older I value it, but at that time, I saw it as normal, I didn’t stop to think that I had the opportunity to see unique things. “
-At what point do they stop moving so much?
“When I was 10, my father stopped being in the military and we moved to Moscow. They wanted to move here so that my sister Nina and I would have more access to schools and universities.”
-How did you get along with your sister?
“Nina and I were always super-close, but we became accomplices when we came to Moscow because they were a year ahead of me, thanks to what I had learned with my mother. So even though she takes me a year, we study together.”
-Few know that you studied Journalism, why did you leave the career?
“Yes, I studied Journalism at Moscow State University, But in a year and a half I said ‘no more!’. At that time I was studying Spanish and watching Mexican soap operas that were broadcast in Russia, and one day I decided that I would come to Mexico to try my luck. “
-But it was another continent, other customs, didn’t it scare you?
“The truth is, no. In 2012 I left the race and learned of his existence CEA (Television Arts Education Center), So I mustered up the courage, packed my bags and came. “
-How did you get into the CEA?
“I first sent an e – mail in which I wrote that I wanted to move to Mexico, That I wanted to study here and that I asked them for a chance. “
-What did they answer you?
“I was told that I would be accepted, but that all expenses would be borne by me. And so was my first trip to Mexico. I stayed five weeks and then I went back to Moscow to tell my parents that I would stay in Mexico, acting was my dream. “
-Did someone from your family come with you?
“I came alone, very lonely (laughs). When I entered the CEA, my parents supported me financially, but sometimes I had to work as a field assistant and get a little more money. For everyone it was difficult and here at CEA we all share our cans of tuna, our rice and chicken breast (river) “.
-Did you ever think about going back to Russia?
“There were very complicated times, but I’m a person who adapts to change and I always saw things positively, plus I never had a plan B, because I think when you propose something and you get it right of course, you don’t have to have a plan B, because when things get complicated, you’ll stop chasing your dream. “
-Was it difficult for you to master Spanish?
“It was the hardest job for me; nothing to do with how I’m talking right now. Many times I was told ‘you almost have the accent’ and that frustrated me because I didn’t know what else was missing, but little by little it was modulating my voice and I think I got it (laughs) “.
-You debuted in 2015 in ‘Italian Girl Comes to Get Married’ and a year later you were already starring, how did you feel when you saw your career take off?
“Yes I had the goal of starring in a soap opera, but the project came to me very quickly, by surprise, and I tackled it as best I could, because carrying the weight of a soap opera is important.” .
-How did your family react to the success you had achieved?
“My parents don’t speak Spanish, and Nina, who is my number one fan, downloads the chapters from my soap operas and tells them to my parents. It’s been funny because my sister is like the official translator; she doesn’t speak spanish, but she understands it very well “.
–So, your parents have never been able to come to Mexico to see you work …
“No, but when it was the World Cup, I’d better go see them (laughs).”
-In 2016 you met Gabriel in ‘Vi l’amor’, then something came up between you in the middle of the scandal. Now that time has passed, how do you see everything that involved you?
“Gabriel and I met in 2016 and, seeing it from a distance, it was all worth it. I think everything is learning in this life and so I take it. The past is past and now I am grateful that things have gone as they were because they helped me to be the person I am, and most of all, I am grateful for the result. “

“Right now our priority as a couple is to keep growing together. The truth is we are not about making plans and more about the pandemic. Gabriel and I are happier and more in love than ever. Getting married and having children are things that they have talked, but all in due course. “
-You say that your parents don’t speak Spanish, how does Gabriel get along with them?

-2020 was a tough year for everyone, what thoughts did it leave you with?
“It was definitely a difficult year.
